Rob's music isn't about dance music… it is simply about magic, nu soul magic courtesy of savvy singer/songwriter Robert Henry, who in May/04 started developing Rob Li's debut 'Demo v.05', the album is everything you might expect from a such gifted singer/songwriter.
Rob Li compositions explore well, the harmony free zone of modern soul, while his lyrics are both romantic and memorable. 'Demo v.05' will be out in 2007. At Midem 2005 Rob Li's incredible collection of songs have been earmarked by a number of top USA publishers as a definitely source of inspiration for many major USA R&B and HIP- HOP acts on their roaster. The soulful hip-hop vibes of Rob Li came together just after he got a n.17 in the UK singles chart in 2004 with Darren Tate’s "Sun is Shinning (Down on Me)". Although a dance tune, his voice got the attention of every DJ in the land, including BBC1 DJ's - Colin & Edith, Scott Mills. Need we say more, I suggest you listen to the words...!
Soon after Rob start developing his debut album 'Demo v.05'; still under development the album bear great similarities with the classic soulfulness, lyrics & live arrangements of Alicia Keys and Steve Wonder with the furious jazz grooves of Earth Wind & Fire in a meeting with John Legend in 2008. 'Demo v.05' will be out in 2007.
