James Collins is a Music Business Student who wanted to be a Chancer to use the platform to showcase his talents.
What makes him stand out from the rest? James feels that his talent for singing and songwriting are his outstanding features as an artist. He is able to play the piano and the guitar as well as produce his own music. James says that he has had a soulful sounding voice since 16 years old.
James has a versatile style and he is capable of singing at different tempos and in different genres. He is into soul, blues, indie, and hip hop and has been playing the guitar since guided towards it by a music teacher as a release from family troubles he was facing at the time.
His influences include Brian McKnight, Sisqo, Lionel Ritchie, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Barry White, Luther Vandross and Michael Bolton! In five years time James would like to have established himself as a solid singer/songwriter whose talent has spread across the world.
