Dean Atta is 21 years old, of Jamaican and Greek Cypriot heritage and grew up in North West London. He is happiest on stage and has been performing from a young age in West End musicals as well as community theatre and poetry open mic nights.

His poetry has been featured on BBC Radio 4 and various publications, and he most recently supported the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Terri Walker at London's prestigious Jazz Cafe. Having just graduated from the University of Sussex with a 2:1 in Philosophy and English Literature BA (Honours), he is already an accomplished actor, youth worker and award-winning poet and was President of the African, Caribbean & Asian Society whilst at university.

Dean recently featured in Justin Donaldson's hardhitting play 'Karma' where he was spotted by Bruce Wall at the London Shakespeare Workout. Dean is currently working as a drama and poetry workshop facilitator and peer mentor for young people both freelance and for the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith. Long term ambitions are to carry on learning and performing, and continue his work with disaffected young people.
