Bio Information

Originally from Sweden, Cecilia Stalin has recorded for the Swedish National Radio and has played at Sweden's biggest Jazz clubs including Fasching, Nalen, Jazz i Malmö, Mejeriet, Glen Miller Café. Cecilia has also been the featured vocalist of Koop on Diesel Records AB.

Moving to New York in 2003, she performed in various jazz clubs across the NYC area (Arturo's, Sweet Rhythm, UpOver JazzCafe plus more). She performed with such artists as Charles Tolliver Jazz Orchestra, Reggie Workmans Coltrane group and Harry Withaker. Cecilia has had her own recordings released in both Japan and USA.

Cecilia was nominated as ‘Jazzrookie of the year’ at Jazzkatten – Swedish Jazz Celebration -06, semifinalist in the Jazzvoice competition Brussels, Cecilia has been interviewed by Helen Mayhew, appeared on the soundtrack of American Woody Allen's movie ‘Match Point’ and has been played on radio stations across Europe and the USA.

Cecilia has been living in London since 2006 working on her next album ’s and playing with musicians such as Tony Kofi, Neville ‘Level’ Malcolm, Dean Mark, Natalie Williams among others.

Cecilia Stalin's music is a mix of traditional Bebop/Swing, Soulful Latin and cool Nu-Jazz with strong melodies and fun complex arrangements! Scaled down for vocal lead acoustic performances with Piano and Guitar her voice is classic - a great choice for Jazzy music lovers.
